Monsters is a small extract from The Tempest. It tells the story of the encounter between the stranded Trinculo and Sebastian on the island already containing the strange Caliban.
It is a very funny scene of mistaken identity and fear, with a great deal of jollity.
A very pertinent tale of understanding strangers and accepting them despite their apparent differences.
The title comes from the number of times the word ‘Monsters’ is used within the original Shakespearean text.
