Puck's Magic Flower
The very mention of Puck’s name immediately conjures up the title of A Midsummer Night’s Dream for many, as one of the most well known of Shakespeare’s plays.
The book simply focuses on the use of a magic flower to comically induce the fairy queen to fall in love with the bewitched foolish character of Bottom.
He has had his head transformed into that of a donkey, scaring his fellow actors and making for a very funny tale of tomfoolery.
As a tale of fairies and magic the play has always played an important role in entertaining children, but with the addition of the comic Shakespuss animals it becomes a book to be treasured.
